If a state or local DMV does not accept your IRS 2290 Schedule 1, you will need to contact the IRS Excise Hotline at 1-866-699-4096 opt. 4 and provide the IRS, a brief description of the issue and the contact information of your local DMV. The IRS will be able to assist and ensure that your DMV accepts your electronic stamped Schedule 1.
