Does ExpressTruckTax initiate the payments to the IRS based on the payment option I choose?

ExpressTruckTax initiates the payments only if you choose to pay the HVUT using your credit card while e-filing form 2290. For this, you must enter your card details, and the calculated HVUT + 4% of the processing fees along with the e-filing fee will be charged from your card.

Users who opt for Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) as their payment option must initiate their payments by visiting www.eftps.gov. 

If you opt for Electronic Funds Withdrawal (EFW), you will be required to provide your bank details. The IRS will debit the amount from your bank account directly. 

If you choose check or money order as your payment option, you must send the payment to the following address within the filing deadline.
