The IRS stamps your Schedule 1 with a watermark upon the acceptance of your Form 2290. Your Schedule 1 with the watermark serves as the proof of your HVUT payment. It can be used for registration and renewal of tags. You must have your stamped Schedule 1 in the cabin of your truck for verification purposes.
You can use your stamped Schedule 1 to register your vehicle in any state within the United States. Canadian and Mexican vehicles must have a stamped Schedule 1 to enter the United States border.
