The Employer Identification Number (EIN) is an identification number issued by the IRS to each separate business and used to keep track of the business reports. There will be a separate EIN attached to each business. While filing your Form 2290, you must use the exact EIN generated for the business you are filing.
You can find the EIN of your business in the documents provided by the IRS when you applied for the EIN. Contact the IRS at 800-829-4933 if you have any doubts about your business's EIN.
